My experience and learning of my craft as an actor in New York led me to Los Angeles. The knowledge of the entertainment business which I acquired in Los Angeles led me to become an independent filmmaker. After six years of working, growing, and learning in Los Angeles, I decided to return to Philadelphia in which the story of “One Shot Too High” is based. I would later form my company Third Eye Films LLC. This is an independent film company established to film original scripts written by myself as well as other established writers and filmmakers seeking to create films which their artistic and creative independence is utilized and maximized to the best of their abilities. During my time here in Philadelphia while preparing to film the feature length film “One Shot Too High”, I have met and worked with other filmmakers in the city. I’ve also had the opportunity to work in the Philadelphia Public School System as a substitute teacher. I was able to utilize my creative abilities to help students discover their dreams and pursue them through education.

I also had the wonderful experience of reconnecting with a good friend and graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, filmmaker Michael Dennis. Mike is a director who has filmed documentaries, videos, and several short films. His most successful project to date is a film short entitled “Next Tuesday”. I played the lead character in the film, “Mack”. The story evolves around Mack and his thirteen year old son Aundra as they get to know one another for the first time since Aundra was born. The film appeared in several film festivals and premiered on the local station WYBE as part of the Philadelphia film series. The movie aired throughout the entire summer of 2006 on the BET JAZZ channel as part of its best short film series. The title track for “Next Tuesday” was performed by John Legend who recently won a Grammy Award for the song.
